FCH3 History
The FCH3 was established on January 9, 1999 when a local hasher and 7 hashers from the Osan Bulgogi H3 (Korea) braved temperatures
hovering around -22 degrees to hash in and round the town of North Pole, Alaska. The down-down was held at the Elf’s Den in North Pole
and while the bar patrons were entertained with a variety of hashing songs the hashers were rewarded with many pitchers of beer.
On January 17, 2004, 23 members of the FCH3 set a world record for the coldest hash. At the start of the hash the official temperature was -44 degrees (F)
and when the hash ended the temperature was -50 degrees (F).
